الأحد السادس والعشرون بعد العنصرة، الثالث عشر للوقا

Troparion for the Resurrection in Tone 1:

While the stone was sealed by the Jews, and the soldiers were guarding Thy most pure body, Thou didst arise on the third day, O Savior, granting life to the world. For which cause the heavenly powers cried aloud unto Thee, O giver of life. Glory to Thy Resurrection O Christ, glory to Thy kingdom, glory to Thy providence, O Thou Who alone art the lover of mankind.

إنّ الحجر لمّا خُتم من اليهود، وجسدك الطاهر حُفظ من الجند، قمتَ في اليوم الثالثِ أيّها المخلّص، مانحاً العالم الحياة. لذلك، قواتُ السماوات هتفوا اليك يا واهب الحياة: المجدُ لقيامتك أيّها المسيح، المجدُ لمُلككَ، المجدُ لتدبيرك يا مُحبَ البشر وحدك.

في ميلادك حفظت البتولية وصنتها، وفي رقادك ما أهملت العالم وتركته يا والدة الإله، لأنك انتقلت إلى الحياة بما أنك أم الحياة، فبشفاعاتك أنقذي من الموت نفوسنا.

Kontakion for the Preparation of Christ’s Nativity in Tone 3:

Today the Virgin cometh to the cave where she will give birth in an ineffable manner to the Word Who is before all the ages. Rejoice, therefore, O universe, when thou hearest it heralded: Glorify Him, with the angels and the shepherds, Who chose to be seen as a new-born babe, the God Who is before all the ages.

قنداق تقدمة عيد الميلاد المجيد باللحن الثالث:

أليوم العذراء تأتي إلى المغارة لتلد الكلمة الذي قبل الدهور ولادة لا تفسَّر ولا ينطق بها. فافرحي أيتها المسكونة إذا سمعت، ومجِّدي مع الملائكة والرعاة الذي سيظهر بمشيئته طفلاً جديداً، الإلهَ الذي قبل الدهور.

Epistle (26^th Sunday after Pentecost)

St. Paul’s Epistle to the Ephesians (5:8-19)

Priest: let us attend. Reader: Let Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us. Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous. Priest: Wisdom. Reader: The Reading is from the Epistle of St. Paul to the Ephesians. Priest: in wisdom let us attend.

Brethren, walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is a shame even to speak of the things that they do in secret; but when anything is exposed by the light it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light.” Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart.

Gospel (13^th of Luke)

The Reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke (18:18-27)

At that time, a man came testing Jesus and asking, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”  And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good?  No one is good but God alone.  You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery. Do not kill. Do not steal. Do not bear false witness. Honor your father and mother.’”  And the man said, “All these I have observed from my youth.”  And when Jesus heard it, he said to him, “One thing you still lack.  Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”  But when the man heard this he became sad, for he was very rich.  Jesus, seeing him sad, said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!  For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”  Those who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?”  Jesus said, “What is impossible with men is possible with God.”

الرسالة (الأحد السادس والعشرون بعد العنصرة)

فصل من رسالة القديس بولس الرسول إلى أهل أفسس (اف 5: 8-19)

لِتَكُنْ يَا رَبُّ رَحْمَتُكَ عَلَيْنَا اِبْتَهِجُوا أَيُّهَا الصِّدِّيقُونَ بالرَّبّ.

يا إخوةُ اسلُكُوا كأولادٍ للنُّور (فإنَّ ثَمَرَ الرُّوحِ هو في كلِّ صَلاحٍ وبِرٍ وحَقٍّ)، مُخْتَبِرينَ ما هو مَرْضِيٌّ لدى الرَّبّ، ولا تشتَرِكُوا في أعمالِ الظُّلْمَةِ الغيرِ المُثْمِرَةِ بل بالأحرى وَبِّخُوا عليها، فإنَّ الأفعالَ الَّتي يفعلونها سِرًّا يقبُحُ ذِكْرُهَا أيضًا، لكنَّ كلَّ ما يُوبَّخُ عليهِ يُعلَنُ بالنُّور، فإنَّ كلَّ ما يُعلَنُ هو نورٌ. لذلكَ يقولُ: استَيْقِظْ أيُّهَا النَّائِمُ وقُمْ من بين الأمواتِ فَيُضِيءَ لكَ المسيح. فانظُرُوا، إذَنْ، أنْ تسلُكُوا بحَذَرٍ لا كجُهَلاءَ بل كَحُكماءَ مُفْتَدِينَ الوقتَ فإنَّ الأيَّامَ شِرِّيرَةٌ. فلذلك، لا تكونوا أغبِياءَ بل افهَمُوا ما هي مشيئَةُ الرَّبِّ. ولا تسكَرُوا بالخَمْرِ الَّتي فيها الدَّعارَة بل امْتَلِئُوا بالرُّوحِ مُكَلِّمِينَ بعضُكُم بعضًا بمزاميرَ وتسابيحَ وأغانيَّ روحيَّةٍ، مُرَنِّمِين ومُرَتِّلِينَ في قلوبِكُم للرَّبّ.

فصل شريف من بشارة القديس لوقا الإنجيلي البشير والتلميذ الطاهر (لو 18: 18-27)

في ذلك الزمان دنا إلى يسوعَ إنسانٌ مجرِّبًا لهُ وقائلاً: أيُّها المعلّم الصالح، ماذا أعمَلُ لأرثَ الحياةَ الأبدَّية؟ فقال لهُ يسوع: لماذا تدعوني صالحاً وما صالحٌ إلاَّ واحدٌ وهو الله. إنّك تعرِفُ الوصايا: لا تزْنِ، لا تقتُل، لا تسرق، لا تشهد بالزور، أكرِمْ أباك وأمَّك. فقال: كلُّ هذا قَدْ حفِظْتُهُ منذُ صبائي. فلمَّا سمِعَ يسوعُ ذلك قال لهُ: واحدةٌ تُعوزُك بعدُ: بعْ كلَّ شيءٍ لك وَوَزِّعْهُ على المساكين فيكونَ لك كنزٌ في السماءِ وتعال اتبعْني. فلمَّا سمع ذلك حزِن لأنَّه كان غنيًّا جدًّا. فلمَّا رآه يسوعُ قد حزِن قال: ما أعسَرَ على ذوي الأموال أن يدخلوا ملكوتَ الله! إنَّهُ لَأسهلُ أن يدخُلَ الجَمَلُ في ثقب الإبرَةِ من أنْ يدْخُلَ غنيٌّ ملكوتَ الله. فقال السامِعون: فمن يستطيع إذنْ أنْ يَخلُص؟ فقال: ما لا يُستطاعُ عند الناسِ مُستطاعٌ عند الله.
